OpenJKN is built as an open-source additional module or plugin on top of the global openIMIS platform. Its primary purpose is not to replace the existing BPJS Kesehatan production system, but rather to serve as a “digital sandbox” and an interoperable “learning laboratory.”

Safe Simulation

Creates a secure environment for students and researchers to study JKN logic without risking live production data.

Policy Innovation

Acts as a medium for policy experimentation and a living laboratory for AI development in the health sector.
